Jamhore is famous because of Katuun; she is the Zamindar of that area. After the Mughals, it was taken over by Rajputana, and they did several things for that village, like building a railway station, schools, hospitals, and a community hall. Also, crime and casteism are at an upper level; Rajputana is still dominating that place. Some Rajputana people, like Shamsher Bahadur Singh, are powerful people. In the 70s-80s, Gupteshwar Prasad Singh was a mine owner, and he did various things for poor people and also for villagers. During the drought time in the eastern part of India in 1962 and 1964, he made numerous relief camps for all citizens in many cities of Bihar.
